Second graders had a real treat on Friday when they celebrated and sampled 17 kinds of rice recipes that are from different cultures around the world. This was a culminating activity tied to a geography unit. It was a true lesson for the children and delicious at the same time. Thank you to Mrs. Thomson for hosting this event and a huge thank you to all of the families who contributed to the varying rice selections. I was lucky enough to get an afternoon sample and all were extremely tasty.
