Landis Valley Museum visited 5th grade today and shared several colonial activities with the students. Combing sheep wool, writing with quill pens and learning calligraphy, and playing colonial America games were some of the fun events. Students also made a scherenschnitte craft and were shown how to make a fire using flint. Ask your child about Jacob’s Ladder! This was a fantastic way for our students to learn about life in the 1700 – 1800’s. Take a peek into their classroom experience today.
