From athletes to vets, military to waitstaff, and artists to firefighters and everything in between, Esh students showed off their aspirations. Our students work hard every day, so they can achieve their goals! And we know they can do it!
We believe we have Outstanding Teachers and Employees at Eshleman Elementary. Think so too? Please take a moment to nominate someone special from Eshleman. Nominations are now being accepted for the Penn Manor 2021-2022 Outstanding Educator/Employee Awards program.
The school district will present the awards later this year to teachers and staff members who go above and beyond in serving our students, parents and staff. Nominations are being accepted until February 28, 2022, from Penn Manor parents/guardians, students and colleagues of district staff members.
Last year’s honorees were Richard Bodde, Eshleman sixth-grader teacher, Outstanding Elementary Educator; Kimberly Braun, head nurse at Penn Manor High School, Outstanding Secondary Educator; and Mary Jacoby, Letort Elementary secretary, Outstanding Employee.
Please click here to submit a nomination. Use one form for each nominee.
The Outstanding Educator Awards should be based on a teacher’s ability to promote academic growth in her/his students and for outstanding pupil-teacher relationships. A person may nominate one elementary teacher, one secondary teacher or one teacher on each level. The nominee must currently be employed by Penn Manor School District.
Nominations for the Outstanding Employee Awards should be based on the staff member’s ability to support the educational program and the quality of his/her relationships with staff and students. A person may nominate one elementary staff member, one secondary staff member or one employee on each level. The nominee must currently be employed by Penn Manor.
Below are an explanation of the awards, guidelines and a list of previous recipients, who are not eligible for awards this year.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2022
As a way to promote career exploration and awareness with our elementary students, the Penn Manor elementary schools are planning a special day across the district.
On Friday, February 11, 2022, students will be invited to wear clothing that represents careers that they may be interested in exploring as an adult. For example, your child may come dressed as a construction worker, a doctor, a teacher, etc. Please make sure that your child’s clothing is appropriate for a day of learning and wouldn’t distract other students in his/her classroom. As an added component of the Kids at Work Day, teachers and staff will be wearing their college, military, trade school, or past/present career attire.
Our hope is that Kids at Work Day will be a great way to start conversations at home and at school about different types of careers, why someone chooses a career, and what kind of training/schooling is needed to get started in a particular career.
The Penn Manor Elementary School Counselors would like to thank you in advance for your support of Kids at Work Day. If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Samantha Strosser
Eshleman School Counselor
