Calling all incoming kindergarten families ~

As you know, we have challenged all of our incoming kindergarten students to complete the kindergarten portfolio and return it to school for the 2021-2022 school year. Completing this booklet not only helps you practice for skills you will use in kindergarten, but it also helps you earn an amazing kindergarten crew t-shirt.

Below is our first video in a 3 part series. This video models easy ways at home to work with letters and practice letters while having fun. Please take a few minutes to watch the video and let the fun and learning begin.

What to expect:
In the next two weeks upon logging into your Sapphire portal account, you will be asked to reset your username and password. This reset is necessary to convert your account to the new platform and remove the need for a PIN number as part of the log-in process.

Power Packs – Summer Distribution

Power Packs Project final distribution for 2020-21 school year is Wednesday, May 26th, 2021.  Children need nutritious meals all year long and that is why Power Packs Project is offering weekend food, recipes, and nutrition tips during the summer months starting Wednesdays June  23rd  – August 11, 2021. Power Packs will partner with host school sites to distribute Packs directly to the school where assigned staff will coordinate weekly participant pick up and take attendance.   We are centralizing all Summer Program enrollments to be managed from Power Packs Headquarters(HQ) therefore, participants will enroll online using QR Code Link (see link below).

Important Summer Program notes:

  • Paperless online enrollment using QR code or link is available now for immediate enrollment.
  • All currently enrolled participants must re-enroll to participate in summer program.
  • Schools that are not distribution sites, families may contact Power Packs (717)615-3784 to schedule an appointment for pick up at Power Packs Main office 1915 Olde Homestead Lane address. 
  • Participant must apply before June 16th to receive a pack on June 23rd.
  • Participant who fails to pick up packs after 2 distributions will be notified by Power Pack that they have been terminated from the program.

Enjoy a delicious dinner and/or smoothie from 4-7:30pm and a percentage comes back to Eshleman Elementary PTO to help with great supplies for our students. Put your receipt in the bin by the register so Tropical Smoothie can count your sale toward our percentage. Tell your friends and family.

PTO sponsored Snacks For Teachers and Staff

The PTO is hoping to share a treat with our teachers.  We want to encourage our hardworking teachers and staff as they welcome March!  

If you are willing to help provide some individually packaged snacks or drinks, we would love to show them a little appreciation by way of caffeine, chips, and chocolate.   Sign up on the link below and drop off items in the school office by end of day on Wednesday, March 3rd. 

The PTO is hopeful that this will occur monthly or every other month for the rest of the year.

Change to Virtual Snow Day-2/19/21

Dear Penn Manor Community,

Due to icy road conditions Penn Manor will now be operating with a two-hour delay followed by a Virtual Snow Day, on Friday February 19. Buildings will be closed for in person instruction. No transportation will be provided.

Teachers will communicate to students online through their Google Classroom, Moodle, or Seesaw pages assignments for students to complete by the end of the Virtual Snow Day. Students will sign in and follow the teacher’s expectations for the class. Students’ attendance will be based on completion of assignments by midnight of the Virtual Snow Day.

2-Hour Delay-2/19/21

All Penn Manor schools will operate on a two-hour delay, modified kindergarten schedule on Friday February 19, 2021. AM kindergarten runs from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; PM kindergarten runs from 1:45 to 3:18 p.m. Busses will pick up students 2 hours after their normal pick up time.

Please check back for possible updates due to the weather.

Please note that any schedule changes will be communicated by 7:15 a.m. Friday.

Virtual Snow Day for Thursday, February 18

All Penn Manor schools will shift to Virtual Snow Day status for all students on Thursday, February 18. We plan to resume in-person learning on Friday, February 19.

All district transportation is cancelled for today, Thursday, February 18.
