5K Fundraiser and Fun Run to support the establishment & sustainability of school gardens in Lancaster County…
When: Saturday, September 22 – Race begins at 8:30 am

Where: Penn Manor School District’s Cross Country course
2950 Charlestown Road, Lancaster
Features: The course is across pleasantly rolling terrain and is a closed loop cross country course…free of traffic. Live music to energize you while you run. Kids Fun Run and a Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest.
Cost: $25 to register
Each registrant will receive: T-shirt, Watermelon Blaster smoothie, Veggie Snack, and
the satisfaction of knowing that $10 of their registration fee will go toward The Edible Classroom’s School Garden Grant Program. Please note the September 7 registration deadline, if you want a race t-shirt.
School Garden Grant Program
$10 of each registration fee will go into The Edible Classroom’s School Garden Grant Fund. Grants will be awarded to three schools to use toward The Edible Classroom’s programming to establish and/or sustain their school garden program in the 2018/2019 school year. To be accepted into the School Garden Grant Program, schools must have a letter of intent from their Principal and a completed application. Funds will be awarded based on grant application, need, garden sustainability plan, and number of runners from your school.
